How It All Started

I still remember the day this all began—June 6, 1988. That summer, I made the decision to start pressure washing for a living. I’d always been drawn to machines, and the first time I saw a power washer, I knew it was something special. It wasn’t long before I was out there washing cars and trucks for local dealerships, spraying off grime with high-pressure water and hand-drying every surface with care.

Not long after, I moved into awning and canopy cleaning, and that’s when everything changed. I remember working my way down a city block, cleaning the old Woolworth’s awning, and people actually came out of their stores to ask me to do theirs too. It felt like no one had ever cleaned those awnings before, and the difference was night and day. I didn’t follow a formula—I just knew what worked. Trial and error, sure, but the results spoke for themselves.
